Pooches and Pets

Otro más para Técnicas de Ilustración. Esta vez teníamos que hacer una ilustración sobre perros y sus dueños. Era Halloween en esos días y en Savannah hubo un evento llamado Wag-o-ween, donde la gente disfrazaba a sus perros y circulaban por la ciudad. Viendo todos esos perritos disfrazados me dio la idea de trabajar con perros que pertenecieran a criaturas de la cultura popular (además de romperme el corazón porque cada carita de perro me hacía acuerdo a mi Hedwig allá en la madre patria ). A la final desarrollé la idea de Medusa y su pobre Chow-chow. Debe ser duro tener mascotas cuando todo lo que te mira a los ojos se convierte en piedra

Otra excursión en la acuarela, alisando algunos de los errores en el trabajo anterior pero aún no al nivel que me gustaría, pero ahí se va llegando.

Another one for Illustration Techniques. This time we had to make an illustration relating to dogs and their owners. It was Halloween during that time and the people of Savannah had this thing called Wag-o-ween where they dressed their dogs in costume and walked around town. Seeing all those funny costumes gave me the idea of working with dogs that belonged to creatures from pop culture (asides from breaking my heart, because every dog face reminded me of my Hedwig back there in Ecuador ). In the end I developed the idea of Medusa and her poor Chow-chow, it must tough to be a pet owner when anything that looks at you turns to stone

Another watercolor attempt, smoothing out some of the mistakes from the past attempt but not yet at the level I would desire, but I just need to keep pushing it.
