One of the postcards promoting the return of the comic "La Travesía de Klint" I made to sell at the ExpoComic. It felt good seeing some people recognized the characters and asked what had happened to the adventures of Klint, Yuno and Athila. At least some people outside my family followed and liked the comic! :dummy:

The lineart is wonderful and I really like the idea of the black whispy lines for the background - it really completes the composition of the piece. Sadly though I have not heard of the comic D:

Thanks. Yep, the different weights in the linework add a good punch to the image. The background lines gave some trouble at first, I was overdoing them and messing up the composition :XD:, but in the end I managed to get the correct balance.

Well, the comic is not very known, specially outside my country, it had a short run (12 strips) in the newspaper before budget constraints forced them to shut it down :(

Did you paint the background lines with a default Photoshop brush?

Shame the newspaper ran out of budget, but hey I guess it is good news it is making a return :D

No, I painted them with a scratchboard rake pen in Painter X. All the linework was done in Painter too. The rest was done in Photoshop.

It was a shame, but it was a good run while it lasted.

Last time I checked, there are downloadable trial versions in Corel's website. They last for 30 days and have all the features available (at least I haven't noticed any option blocked).
